1. Cardiff Winter Wonderland - Available until 8th January which features two locations at the heart of Cardiff. Enjoy what this city has to offer. Over at the City Hall Lawn they have The Ice Bar, Family Funfairs, Ski Lounge Bar Sur La Piste and plenty of food and drinks for you to indulge in. Furthermore, at Cardiff Castle they have an Ice Rink and offer lessons for beginners which starts Wednesday between 13.30 - 14.30pm. So book your place while it’s available! 2. The Rocket Man - Honouring Sir Elton John and his greatest hits ever made in his music career. Jimmy Love and his band will perform live on stage. Taking you on a journey through the life and career of Sir Elton John himself. Performing live on 13th January at New Theatre, Cardiff. Starts at 19.30pm. 3. Cirque - The Greatest Show - This award-winning smash-hitting circus is coming to town! Features extraordinary things and West-End Broadway hits. Including aerialists, contortionists and trapeze artists. Book your place to view it live! Performing between 19th - 21st January at New Theatre, Cardiff. 4. Strictly Ballroom The Musical - This musical is touring around the UK and Ireland this year. Starring Kevin Clifton and BBC EastEnders’ Maisie Smith! Directed and co-choreographed by Britain’s best-loved TV Judge, Craig Revel Horwood. This musical is about a young ballroom dancer (Clifton), whose dance style sees him fall out of favour with Australian Federation. As a result, he must dance with beginner, Fran (Smith) and together they find the courage to defy tradition and discover that to win, your steps don’t need to be strictly ballroom! 5. Guinness Six Nations Rugby - The Guinness Six Nations Rugby is hosting this year. Featuring live rugby playing from Wales, England, Scotland, France, Ireland and Italy. 6. Buffy Revamped - From the 90s hit TV show Buffy the Vampire Slayer, this theatrical comedy is revived once more and is played by none other than Comedian/Creator Brenden Murphy. As Murphy will be performing impersonations from past characters such as Buffy, Giles, Xander, Willow, Cordelia, Angel, Drusilla, Spike and Buffy. If you like comedy, then this show is for you! 7. Pottery Wheel Throwing Taster Session - Get the feeling of clay running through your fingers whilst learning the craft of pottery using basic techniques. You’ll get to try to create a unique bowl for yourself and it’s a great way to bond with other people as well. Go ahead and try it out! Located in One Well Studio, Cardiff. 8. Valentine’s Day - Celebrate Valentine’s Day this year by going out to a restaurant with your loved ones. There are hundreds of romantic restaurants around Cardiff and Cardiff Bay. 9. Techniquest - This half-term why not take your whole family on a scientific adventure. Where they explore amazing technology and experience other scientific things that they had not discovered. 10. WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre - Go on a family trip to the WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre and enjoy the outdoor life. Filled with wild animals of birds, flamingos, geese, ducks, etc. It is a great way to relax and enjoy outdoor nature.
